Tiphaigne de la Roche, Charles- François is a medical physician and a French author whose novel “Giphantie” published in 1760 is considered to have given the prediction on photography.

Hershell, Sir John Frederick William, a well known astronomer and a publisher of influential books on astronomy is the first to quote the word “photography” in his “Note on the art of Photography, or The Application of the Chemical Rays of Light to the Purpose of Pictorial Representation”.

Niépce, Joseph Nicephore is the very first to produce a product of photography, a successful photograph on June or July of 1827. This first produced picture required an eight hours of long exposure giving the sun to move from easterly to west to give light on all sides of his subject which is stated to be difficult to figure out.

Daguerre, Louis Jacques Mande who began working as an novice architect, learned about Niépce’s work on 1826,got interested, and finally prefabricated a partnership with him on 1829. After Niépce’s death, he continued to do experimentation and discovered the development of photographic plates. He sold these rights to the government of France and went on to write a book on his findings.

Al-Haytham invented the pinhole camera in which the resulting image had to be viewed upside down. By 1930 the flashbulb became acquirable commercially. Johannes Ostermeier, a German national, patented the flashbulb. These flashbulbs came to be known as vacublitz. The company called General Electric prefabricated the Sashalite, another version of the flashbulb.
